Small portable sundial, folding, called "Augbourg".
Gilded brass octagonal plate, engraved with palms and rocaille on an engraved background, centred with the compass, and mobile parts in patinated brass.
The reverse side of the compass showing a list of eight European cities and their latitude, and the inscription "Elev. Pol" (elevations at the poles), and the signature by initials: L.T.M.
About 1750-1765.
H. (unfolded): 5,5 cm - Dim. plate: 4,8 x 5,2 cm.
Some wear to the patina and scratches.
