Écrits de Sédir

Paul Sédir is the pseudonym of Yvon le Loup (1871-1926), Sédir hiding the anagram of "desire" referring to "the man of desire" evoked by Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin. Bank employee, he met in 1989 Papus (see lot 7104) at La Libraire du Merveilleux. Initiated in almost all the Parisian secret societies of his time, he also practiced magic with the alchemist Albert Poisson (1869-1894). His meeting with Master Philippe de Lyon in 1909 led to a radical change in his life: breaking with his occultist commitments, he founded the Amitiés Spirituelles network, a sort of inner church devoted to Christ.
