Marbled paper countertops edged with a cream morocco return, with gilded fillets of framing and spandrels with a bee motif, double marbled paper guard. Gilded head, illustrated cover and spine preserved, presented in a protective folder with flaps and interlocking. Binding signed René Kieffer. Illustrated with 71 colour woodcut compositions by Carlos Schwabe. Limited edition of 150 numbered copies on vellum. One of the 15 copies on sale (n°130) enriched with an original monogrammed watercolor in colors signed by the artist, and the decomposition of one of the color plates reproduced in the "Life of the Bees".
