Yes, I remember you and the pretty little boy embroidered for me all too well. I thank your lovely grandmother for the lovely invitation but I am preparing a new film and will be away for a few weeks. I'll phone you when I get back. In the meantime, I send you my best memory and my sincere friendships". The film Madame Sans-Gêne, by Roger Richebé, was released in October 1941, with Arletty in the lead role. The "new film" she refers to is probably Les Visiteurs du Soir, which was shot in early 1942.
