Kiss of Peace crucifix in engraved and gilded brass and copper. Ends of the tri-lobed branches bearing Gothic letters, on the left the monogram of Christ ihs, on the right the m of Mary; Christ with feet superimposed in internal rotation; oval reliquary cabochon at the lower part enclosing a piece of a stone from Golgotha with a label bearing the Italian inscription Rochi in Pest (rock of Palestine); handle on the back. Centre of France, second half of the 15th century Height: 14.5 cm - Width: 9.6 cm (relic replaced, worn) This crucifix, serving as a kiss of peace, seems to be a new object in the production of religious objects in central France.
