He has taught at the National School of Architecture in Nancy and at the ESA. In 1974 he wrote a proposal to safeguard the imprint and spirit of the Halles de Baltard, which had just been destroyed, and in 1979 he carried out research on the theme of the "metamorphoses of the architectural object". Since the 1980s he has carried out conversion projects that have been noticed for the quality of the dialogue established between ancient and contemporary architecture (Musée d'Orsay, La Piscine in Roubaix, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville, the Quimper Museum), He has taken part in many prestigious public competitions (Parc de la Villette, Ministry of Finance, Triangle de la Folie, etc...). His work has been noticed by the critics: his service for burn victims at the Saint-Louis Hospital, his Salt Fountain Museum in Saint-Père sous Vezelay or his housing projects in the new town of Cergy-Pontoise at the end of the national competition for town houses, or his housing in the Dorian Square, Belleville or Creteil are among his works. His mission as a State consultant architect has led him to advise the community on urban renewal projects and territorial development contracts, particularly in Seine-Saint-Denis. He is the author of several illustrated books.
