And with what - and - why. If I had to come back I would not have left this time unless I was crazy. [...] I no longer have a canteen and no more credit even at the Chinese for the bread. If I could walk I would go for days in the mountains to get something to eat but nothing. I was wrong last year not to die, it would have been better, and now it would be silly [...] Ah! If I were in France, I say I could find money in a short time, it's only a question of price, the Van Gogh, the Cezanne and some paintings of me would do the trick [...]".
