An antique Tabriz medallion carpet North West Persia, c. 1900/1910, wool on cotton, the powerful central medallion with spiral vines, octagonal outline and fine pendants on a cream-coloured mirror field, the corresponding gusset fields with flowering border, the cream-coloured main border with a tree design and numerous accompanying borders, LxW: 325/240 cm. Stained, thin/very thin in places, renewed lateral edges and repiled with occasional small repiled areas.
