The document is the letter which the editor speaks on behalf of the filmmaker Narciso Pla to Mr. Eduardo Aunós imploring his rapid intervention in a matter of the utmost urgency. Due to Mr. Pla's lack of liquidity, he requests from the president of the Court of Accounts that his collection of paintings be acquired by the state for one million pesetas. The collection is made up of some 250 paintings by artists such as El Greco, Goya, Ribera, Rembrandt, Picasso, Toulouse-Lautrec, Renoir, etc., valued at 5 million pesetas; despite losing money in the transaction, the urgency of liquidity drives him to do so.
