A drawing in black dedicated to Cugui Fierro showing the bull goring the toreador (34,5 x 26,5 cm),. Another one dedicated to the same one in black, red and gold (33 x 23 cm) with a bull alone in the arena. The last one in black (34 x 26,5cm), showing the laying of banderillas. The whole under gilded frames, the gouache being faded. Joint: BESSIÈRE (René). Torero in a suit of lights in the arenas of Nîmes. [Nimes (?)], Without publisher, [ca 1990]. Large engraving of 42cm x 54 cm. Sober framing of dark wood rod. Nice condition. Very curious plate composed in the manner of Archimboldo, representing a bullfighter in close-up with the bullring in the background. It is composed of a toro, a picador, the paseo, the spectators, etc.... The bullfighting under all its aspects inhabits the maestro. The Nîmes painter René Bessière (1929-2011) painted many bullfighting pictures. A watercolour is attached.
