Paris, Hetzel & Garnier, 1846-1848. 4 volumes grand in-8, a frontispiece, 12 special titles and 120 woodcut plates after Gavarni. Night-blue percaline binding with a large gilt plate on the front covers, with a different composition in the center of each of them (plates signed Liebherre). Important work by Gavarni, giving a very precise idea of the artist's talent and the customs of his time. "The life of a young man" dressed in a green percaline darker than the 3 others.
