Beautiful staircase start in the shape of a covered vase in chased bronze. The sides of the vase chiselled with flutes, moldings, rows of pearls and a guilloche frieze. The long handles in the shape of winged chimeras surrounded by falling branches. The chiseled pedestal with a frieze of ivy and a fall of laurel leaves that also decorate the top of the lid crowned with a seed. Porphyry posterior base. Fused bronze, turned and chiselled, traces of gilding. Very elegant French work from the end of the 18th century with a high quality of chasing which could be attributed to Etienne-Jean FOUSTIER, Master founder in 1764.
