CHINA - 17th / 18th century A honey-coloured rhino horn bowl carved with the eight immortals standing, each with his own attributes, Laozi riding his crane, a suede placed underneath him. The handle formed by two intertwined pine branches. (Gaps and small restorations). H. 8 cm. Length 13.3 cm. Weight: 248 grams Online bidding by Drouot Live will not be possible. Rhinoceros horn specimens (Rhinocerotidae sp.) pre-Convention, prior to July 1, 1947 and therefore in accordance with EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2- Wmc, and prior to July 1, 1975 and therefore in accordance with the French decrees of 16 August 2016 and 4 May 2017. For a trip out of the European Union, a CITES from re-export will be necessary, the latter being the responsibility of the future purchaser. The issuance of such a document is not not automatic. For a possible re-export, it will be up to the successful tenderer to find out - before any purchase - from the country's customs authorities concerned, particularly in the case of the United States or Asia.
