VERNER PANTON (Denmark, 1926 - 1998) for Fritz Hansen. Bachelor" chair, Denmark, 1950s. Tubular steel frame. Measurements: 37 x 52 x 63 cm. The "Bachelor" chair is known to be Verner Panton's first success. It was an original work by Fritz Hansen designed and created in 1953. The chair was marketed to businesses and was known as the "Bachelor" chair because it was intended for households just starting out. Both the design and construction of the chair are quite simple. It consists of a folding seat and a tubular steel frame. Its "demountable" design and simple construction made it a viable product for export. Two intermediate struts connect the N-shaped side segment to the main section. Since its creation in 1953, this simple chair has become a design icon, inspiring architects and designers around the world. Verner Panton was one of the most influential Danish industrial designers of the late 20th century. He introduced the pop aesthetic into Scandinavian furniture. He attended the Odense Technical School and then studied architecture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. Between 1950 and 1952 he worked in the architectural studio of Arne Jacobsen. In 1955 he opened his own architecture and design studio. He became famous with his furniture based on geometric forms manufactured by the company Plus-linje. Panton's spatial compositions are renowned for fusing floors, walls and ceilings, as well as furniture, lamps, fabrics and enamel or plastic panels to form a spatial unity that is as seamless as it is indivisible. The Visiona halls at the Cologne Furniture Fair (1968 and 1970), the offices of the Spiegel publishing house (1969) and the Varna restaurant in Aarhus (1970) are some of the most outstanding examples. The collaboration between Panton and Vitra began in the early 1960s. With this company he develops his best-known design: the Panton chair, made from a single piece of injection molded plastic, introduced in 1967. It is represented in the MOMA and major museums of decorative art and design.

RB ROSSANA chair. Italy, 1970s. Beech wood and rattan. Measurements: 75 x 46 x 52 cm. The chair in tender shows the intention of Rb Rossana to respond to the needs of the market, focusing its work on creativity and design. This piece of furniture combines formal economy and elegance in its design. Straight, pure and robust lines combine with a curved backrest in which the form is allied with the handcrafted warmth of beech. Rb Rossana is a reference firm in the field of design, technology and quality specialized in kitchen furniture. Its beginnings date back to 1953, when Fulvio Bembrilla, founder and historical manager of the company, started an artisan kitchen furniture workshop in the Italian city of Bergamo. In fact, in 1972 RB Rossana was the first kitchen furniture manufacturer with products exhibited at the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York. The brand has always maintained collaboration with some of the best international designers such as Giancarlo Llipandri, Michele de Lucchi, Rodolfo Dordoni and many more.

Puff. Diamante II model; Missoni, Italy, 20th century. Printed fabric. Presents label "Missoni Home". Measurements: 60 x 40 cm. Puff with geometric structure featuring a decoration based on the iconic multicolor print. Ottavio and Rosita Missoni established in 1953, a small knitwear workshop in Gallarate, Italy. They presented their first collection under the Missoni label in Milan in 1958. The business flourished, with the support of fashion editor Anna Piaggi, and then in Arianna magazine. Rosita met French stylist Emmanuelle Khanh in New York in 1965, which led to a collaboration and a new collection the following year. In April 1967, they were invited to show at the Pitti Palace in Florence. Rosita told the models to take off their bras, supposedly because they were the wrong color, and showed through the thin lamé blouses. The material became transparent under the lights and caused a sensation. The Missonis were not invited the following year, but business grew; a new factory in Sumirago was built in 1969. Missoni designs were promoted in the U.S. by Diana Vreeland, editor of American Vogue, and a Missoni boutique was opened in Bloomingdales. Missoni reached the height of its influence in the fashion world in the early 1970s, so much so that today the firm continues as an established brand.

JOSEP ROCA SASTRE (Terrassa, 1928 - Barcelona, 1997). "De Lucas Cranach", 1953. Óleo sobre lienzo. Firmado en la esquina inferior derecha. Firmado, titulado y fechado al dorso. Con etiqueta Oriol Galeria d'Art al dorso. Medidas: 100 x 80 cm; 105 x 86 cm (marco). La que ahora se subasta es una obra temprana del pintor Josep Roca Sastre, correspondiente a una etapa anterior a la realización de sus escenas íntimas de interior. El lienzo es una versión metafísica de la obra "Las Tres Gracias" de Lucas Cranach el Viejo, tabla pintada por el maestro en 1531 y conservada actualmente en el Museo del Louvre de París. Formado en Barcelona, en los años sesenta Roca comenzó a desarrollar un estilo personal e independiente y creó su propio lenguaje. Su propuesta se centró en recuperar la mirada de lo cercano y lo cotidiano, lo familiar. Expuso durante cuarenta años en la Sala Parés de Barcelona, y también mostró su obra en otras ciudades españolas, así como en Estados Unidos. En 1966 recibió el premio Sant Jordi de la Diputación de Barcelona, y dos años más tarde la medalla de honor del Salon des Artistes Français de París. En 1980 ingresó en la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de Sant Jordi, y en 1993 recibió el Premio Quadern de la Fundació Amics de les Arts i de les Lletres de Sabadell. Roca Sastre desarrolló un estilo figurativo de temas intimistas, aplicando una mirada personal y subjetiva tanto a sus escenas de interior como a sus paisajes urbanos y naturales. Desde su muerte, se han celebrado retrospectivas de la obra de Josep Roca en La Pedrera y en las galerías Muncunill (Terrassa), Oriol (Barcelona) y Juan Oliver Maneu (Palma de Mallorca). Su obra se conserva en el Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña.
