A pair of dinner plates from the military service for General Kleist von Nollendorf, KPM Berlin, 1817, conical shape, the Iron Cross in the center. The laurel wreath entwined with black and light red ribbons around the flag on a light pink background band. At the top the count's coat of arms in an oval reserve with a buff background. Blue sceptre mark, a black painter's mark I, a press number 34. Ø 23.5 cm. For his services in the Battle of Kulm and Nollendorf, Friedrich von Kleist (1762-1823) was elevated to the hereditary rank of count with the surname ''von Nollendorf'' by King Friedrich Wilhelm III on June 3, 1814. He sent the design for the coat of arms to KPM in January 1816 to the manufactory director Rosenstiel, whereupon the production of his service began. As early as October 1817, Rosenstiel was able to report the imminent completion and imminent dispatch to the ministry. Literature Cf. cat. Orders on royal porcelain.
