A magnificent Ionian flintlock pistol, circa 1820 Smooth barrel in 15 mm calibre, the upper side of the barrel cut with flower ornaments (somewhat rubbed). High-quality cut flintlock with domed lock plate and frizzen on rollers marked "B. Chinema". Ramrod of gilt silver profusely decorated with ornaments and flowers in relief. Iron parts somewhat pitted. Length 58 cm. Extremely rare and superb pistol from a formerly Greek province. Condition: II -
