A Devonshire Regiment brooch in white gold with diamonds, circa 1940 The eight-rayed star made of 14 carat gold (tested), lavishly set with diamonds (tested). The crown enamelled in red and the medallion in black and blue (minor chipping here and there), bearing the inscriptions "THE DEVONSHIRE REGIMENT" and "SEMPER FIDE". An intact safety roller locking clasp on the back, the pin made of eight carat gold (tested). Signs of age and wear. Overall length 45 mm. Weight 5 g. Imposing and elegant. Also includes an expert report prepared by A. Ruppenthal KG in 1981, which deviates slightly as regards the specified fineness. Condition: II
