Lederbezogene Holzscheide mit en suite gearbeitetem silbernen Mund- und Ortbeschlag. Anhängender, geometrisch punzierter Ledergürtel (Filzfutter mit Fraßschäden). Dolchlänge 39 cm. John Barrow, der an Lord Macartneys Botschaft in China teilgenommen hatte, veröffentlichte 1806 diese interessante Beschreibung der Länder, die er auf seiner Reise besuchte: Madeira, die Kanarischen Inseln, Rio de Janeiro, das Kap der Guten Hoffnung, Batavia... Darin findet sich insbesondere der wichtige Bericht einer Reise zu den Boushouanas, in dem eine noch unbekannte Region Südafrikas beschrieben wird, sowie die Beschreibung der Insel Java und die Beschreibung von Cochinchina (Südvietnam), deren erster illustrierter Bericht dies ist.
