No people on earth can boast of having such beautiful costumes, with such an excellent combination of shapes and colours, as the South Slavs. They owe them partly to their direct contact with the Ottomans and partly to their own national genius, two elements that have created a very happy combination between the opulent luxury of the Orientals and the Christian seriousness of those rugged Slavic mountain dwellers." Aufnahmen der Gondel. - Entwickler der Parseval-Luftschiffe war der deutsche Konstrukteur August von Parseval (1861-1942). Zwischen 1909 und 1919 entstanden unter ihm 22 Luftschiffe. - Photos jeweils mit kl. Beschädigung an einem oberen Eck, sonst insg. gut erhalten. Collection of 6 early orig. photographs of a Parseval airship. Vintages. Silver gelatin prints. - Showing the airship with a gathering of people in a field, in the sky and shots of the gondola. - The Parseval airships were developed by the German designer August von Parseval (1861-1942).
