Auf Unterlage (65 x 65 cm) montiert, dort in Bleistift signiert, datiert und betitelt. - Etwas stockfleckig. Unterlage gebräunt und mit bestoßenen Ecken und Kanten, verso mit Spuren einer früheren Montierung. Unikatäre und farbintensive Arbeit. Unikatäre Studie eines Buttons, Kriwets emblematischen Rundscheiben die keine Leserichtung vorgeben und den Betrachter durch Form, Farbe und Typographie in ihren Strudel ziehen. Der Künstler ließ diese Werke normalerweise in Leichtaluminium vom einem Schildermacher herstellen. Der vorliegende, aus Karton gefertigte Button diente wohl als Entwurf für ein Modell aus Aluminium. Mat browned and with bumped corners and edges, reverse with traces of former mounting. Unique and colour-intensive work. - Unique study of a so-called "button", Kriwet's emblematic round discs that do not specify a reading direction and draw the viewer into their vortex through form, colour and typography. The artist normally had these works produced in lightweight aluminium by a signmaker. The present button, made of cardboard, probably served as a model for an aluminium version.
