Two Roman bronze chariot body suspensions with eagle and swan heads, 2nd - 3rd century A.D. Two identical suspensions for a wagon body to cushion shocks made of bronze with figural depictions in fine quality. Octagonal, slightly conical spout with a thick wall and prominent rim reinforcements at the top and bottom. The three facets of the front with floral décor of incised and punched decoration. On each side two swan necks with bent back head. Beak, eyes and plumage finely and skilfully chiselled. On the spout an eagle's head with equally finely worked plumage, eyes and beak. Very beautiful green patina with some reddish spots. Height 12.5 cm, width on the front approx. 17.5 cm. Exceptionally beautiful pair of Roman wagon suspensions with about perfect surface in excellent condition. Provenance: From an Austrian private collection, acquired in the 1970s in the Austrian art trade. Condition: I -

An Indonesian 21-karat gold and ruby pendant, early 20th century 21k yellow gold. The solid gold pendant in the shape of two mythical creatures. The surface embellished all over with ruby cabochons. Two diamonds for the eyes, together approx. 0.13ct. Eight movable pearls. Attached to a pearl necklace of later date. Some of the rubies with minor imperfections. Dimensions of the pendant 4.8 x 6 cm, length of the chain with pendant 45 cm, total weight 29.29 g. Highly unusual piece. Condition: II -

Spanish military-style flintlock, brass flashpan, corroded surface with barely legible maker's mark under crown and year "1838". Various acceptance marks "M/Crown" on small parts. Trigger guard and side plate of brass, other furniture of iron. Reworked walnut stock with some light cracks. Hinged iron ramrod. Mechanically sound. Rifle not disassembled. Length circa 85 cm. Condition: III
