B253, A dynamically moving, naturalistically worked group of two sabre antelopes jumping over each other in playful combat on a flat base. Polychrome underglaze painting. Fired crack, restored, h. 30 cm Pilz is best known for his naturalistic, dynamically animated animal figures, which he produced as a freelance sculptor for the Meissen manufactory from 1905.
