Album mit großen Tierserien. 17th c 167 etchings, c. 9,6 x 13,8 cm, laid paper, Latin and Italian text, title plate with erroneous (?) ms. note "Animalium / Cuiusq(ue) Generis(que) / Artificiosa Delinatio / Justi Sadeleri" (title plate cut and laid down, traces of formerly pasted modern prints, few sheets strengthened, some mostly margly. water stains, some foxing, few wormholes, few sm. tears, few spots, few stains). Good, later impressions. 18th-c. limp vellum, spine with raised bands (stains, sm. defects). Große Sammlung mit Titel und 166 Tierdrucken, jeweils 2 pro Blatt gedruckt. Europäische und exotische Tiere inkl. Insekten, Amphibien, Reptilien, Säugetiere und mythologische Kreaturen. Eine ms. Notiz deutet an, dass diese Illustrationen mit dem Werk des italienischen Naturforschers Ulisse Aldrovandi (1522-1605) in Verbindung stehen. Vorangestellt ist eine ausgeschnittene Titeltafel, möglicherweise aus einer anderen Serie, mit dem Wappenrock der Medici.
