A very rare and beautiful bird sculpture made of carved hard stone Dimensions 160 mm, circa 1985, Origin Schweiz Case: Jasper and pyrite quartz, signed. This exquisite figure of a hopoe dating from the 1980s is the result of a cooperation of Swiss animal sculptor Erwin Klein (1914-2018) and the company Vacheron Constantin.The very realistic bird has a jasper body and gold feet, resting on a base of natural pyrite quartz. The signature cartouche sits on a gold disc inlaid in the body of the bird. Case: very good.
