A Flemish bronze lavabo on tripod, circa 1300 Bronze with a greenish-black patina. Standing on three heavily stylised claw feet. Bulbous body. Two spouts in the shape of mythical creatures on the sides. The handle has been lost. One handle attachment broken off. Signs of age. The body cracked. Traces of corrosion. Dimensions 17.5 x 31.5 x 21 cm. Illustrated in Bernard Descheemaeker, Works of Art, Tam Sublimibus, No. 9 (a copy of the catalogue is enclosed).
