Publ. graues Bilderdruckleder mit flachen Rückenkanten (sehr sl. gewellt). Zweite Ausgabe. Illustriert mit 2 Porträt-Frontispieces des Autors, 3 farbigen Karten (2 Faltblätter), 25 Tafeln, davon 5 Faltblätter, und zahlreichen In-Text-Illustrationen. Ziel der Reise des britischen Forschers Colquhoun (1848-1914) war es, die beste Route zur Verbindung von Burma und China durch die Eisenbahn zu finden; die Faltkarte im zweiten Band zeigt eine vorgeschlagene Erweiterung des British Burma Railway System. Colquhoun war der erste Administrator der Southern Rhodesia oder British South Africa Company.

I renewed, part. those of vol. II, Vordergelenk von Vol. II part. split). Erste Ausgabe illustriert mit 2 Frontispieces, 8 Tafeln, einer handkolorierten Karte in Outline und In-Text-Illustrationen. Der englische Anglikaner Heber (1783-1826) diente 3 Jahre lang, von 1823 bis zu seinem Tod, als Bischof von Kalkutta. Während seiner Amtszeit reiste er ausgiebig durch das Land.
