Gold-plated copper, 54 gm, 50 mm, with the front bearing a lunar scene with floating spacecraft and celestial bodies and raised German text, “The First Germans in Space / Siggi Jahn, Ulf Merbold,” with inset silver-tone medallion featuring portraits of Jahn and Merbold; and the reverse showing an embossed design of a satellite and Space Shuttle orbiting the planet. The medallion is presented in its 3 x 6.25 acrylic display made by Göde Bayerisches Münzkontor. Accompanied by a German certificate of authenticity.
