A ruby flower brooch, French circa 1950s, by Jules Lefebvre, designed as a rose with kinetic elements, the mesh petals unfolding from bud to bloom, featuring a ruby cluster to the flower centre and stem, the brooch measuring 55 x 31mm, with French export marks for 18ct gold and maker's mark for Jules Lefebvre, total weight 14.7 grams Provenance: from the family of Harvey Firestone, founder of the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, one of the first global makers of automobile tyres; and thence by descent.
