It is part of the series of ten cartoons of the History of Diana that Toussaint Dubreuil (1561 - 1602) painted and that was reproduced in the Louvre workshops for a long period. The scene narrates an episode from Ovid's Metamorphoses in which the goddess Latona turns some peasants into frogs, punishing them for not letting him quench her thirst. Measurements: 356 x 307 cm
