Celluloid of INUYASHA Celluloid, drawing and background. Measurements: 23 x 26,5 cm; 24,5 x 27 cm (drawing); 26 x 36 cm (background). Inuyasha is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. It was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Sh?nen Sunday sh?nen manga magazine from November 1996 to June 2008, with its chapters collected in 56 tank?bon volumes. The series begins with Kagome Higurashi, a fifteen-year-old high school girl in present-day Tokyo who is transported to the Sengoku period after falling into a well at her family shrine, where she meets the half-dog, half-human demon Inuyasha. When the sacred Shikon jewel resurfaces from deep within Kagome's body, she inadvertently shatters it into dozens of shards that are scattered throughout Japan. Inuyasha and Kagome set out to recover the fragments of the Jewel, and are joined in their quest by the lecherous monk Miroku, the demon hunter Sango and the fox demon Shipp? Together, they journey to restore the Shikon Jewel before it falls into the hands of the evil half-demon Naraku.
