Pequeña humedad en el margen inferior de los 10 primeros ff. de la 1ª obra, por lo demás muy buen estado. Interesante colección de dos obras que refutan las posiciones de la República de Venecia, que impugnaba el poder temporal del Papa. 1) Impreso en Ferrara el mismo año que el original. Raro. IT \ICCU \UBOE\ 117769. La República de Venecia encargó a Paolo Sarpi y a varios teólogos, entre ellos Marsili, que defendieran su política. Publicaron dos incendiarios, que Belarmin refuta en esta obra, publicada por primera vez en Roma en 1606 y reimpresa el mismo año en las principales ciudades de los Estados Pontificios. Esta edición de Ferrara es rara: el ICCU sólo cita 3 ejemplares. 2) Edición publicada el mismo año que el original in-4. IT \ICCU \UBOE\021629. Sarpi publicó también sus consideraciones sobre la censura de Pablo V para denunciarla. El padre Bovio, provincial de la orden carmelita, replicó con esta obra en la que justificaba la excomunión de Venecia.
