Nymphenburg three demitasse cups Mould design Adelbert Niemeyer 1905, decor design Paul Ludwig Troost, Rudolf Sieck and Adelbert Niemeyer 1905-1907, blue and green stamp marks 1899-1910 resp. 1910-1975 (once), brushed decoration numbers and further number, all shape 108/3a, cylinder cup with J-shaped handle and various overglaze painting and gold decoration, decoration 755 (meander with rose garland), 826 (vine decoration) and 1403 (rose band), each with matching saucer, good condition, h 5 cm each.

Adelbert Niemeyer, Frau in der Stube In a North German or Flemish-style tiled hallway, a knitting lady with a bonnet, sitting on a chair in front of a green door, in the background a bed with a curtain, painting executed in a lively, impressionistic style with partially dissolved contours, oil on linen mounted on cardboard, signed "ADELB NIEMEYER" and dated "[18]91.", above incised, barely legible annotation "Kno[...]k[...]" and date "Aug[ust] [18]91", on the reverse with label of the first Great Berlin Art Exhibition from 1893, with information on the artist in ink and inscribed "1 Ölbild Interieur", below label of the Munich Secession, of which Niemeyer was a member at the time, beautiful partially gilded stucco moulding of the time, folded dimensions approx. 55.5 x 43.5 cm. Artist information: actually Adelbert Hans Gustav Niemeyer, German painter, architect and artist. Painter, architect and applied artist (1867 Warburg - 1932 Munich), 1884-88 studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, then at a private art school in Munich and at the Académie Julian in Paris, from 1907 professor at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Munich, 1907 co-founder of the Deutscher Werkbund and the Deutsche Werkstätten für Handwerkskunst in Dresden and Munich, also worked for the Meissen and Nymphenburg porcelain manufactories as well as for Villeroy & Boch, Richard Merkelbach and the Karlsruhe Majolica Manufactory, 1925 designed the procession for the opening of the Deutsches Museum, source: Thieme-Becker, Vollmer and Wikipedia.
