Two suites of engravings, in-12 format (9 X 14 cm approx.) on large in-4 plates (25 X 33 cm approx.) on ff. in paper envelopes and publisher's morocco cloth folder with red laces. Les Femmes sçavantes in black and Molière's portrait in red chalk burnished. RARE SUITE OF 35 PLANCHES engraved on Arches laid paper, in TWO STATES, one in sanguine, after the one produced for the fine edition published by Bret in 1773: 2 PORTRAITS of Molière and Louis XIV painted by Miguard and Rigault, engraved by Cathelin and Savart, as well as 33 FIGURES by MOREAU LE JEUNE engraved by Simonet, Duclos, De Ghendt, Née, De Launay, Masquelier, etc., all captioned. ¶ Not in Mahérault, Lacroix or Vicaire.
