Bronze statuette of Isis with Horus boy, so-called Isis Lactans. Late period, 664 - 332 BC. H 11.2 cm and with base 13.1 cm. Fully cast. Seated Isis with Hathor crown consisting of cow horns and sun disk as well as uraeus serpent gives the Horus boy with side plait on her lap the chest, under Isis' feet a slightly trapezoidal plinth. Dark green patina, tips of the horns broken, mounted on a marble base. Provenance: Ex collection Dr. Karl von Seeger, acquired before 1970.
