Une très impressionnante, innovante et futuriste montre en titane de forme trapèze à la production confidentielle, véritable vitrine ouverte sur un mouvement à la mécanique incomparable. Deux coques dissociées en verre thermoformées offrent une vision à 360 degrés sur un mouvement mécanique à remontage manuel vertical, avec un système de fusée et chaîne. Lecture des heures, minutes, réserve de marche et secondes sur tambours rotatifs, les secondes fixées sur le tourbillon, lui-même monté en position vertical. Fond vissé transparent, boucle déployante en titane abritant un compartiment vitré abritant le winch autorisant le remontage et la mise à l'heure. Le remontage ainsi que la mise à l’heure se font par deux couronnes distinctes sur la carrure à l'aide du winch ou d'un outil spécifique accompagnant la montre. Notre montre, fonctionnante et sans défaut autres que d'infimes traces supercifielles, provient d'un contrat sponsoring avec un pilote automobile. Sans numéro sur la boîte, notre exemplaire pourrait être considérée comme faisant partie des toutes premières montres issues des ateliers à des fins marketing, voire même comme un prototype. La production était programmée en 2008 à 4 exemplaires par mois et offrait un programme de personalisation faisant de chacune de ces montres issues des ateliers un exemplaire unique ou réalisé en nombre très confidentiel. Le premier prototype de la Winch Tourbillon Vertical a été présenté en 2007. Vianney Halter abandonnant la production de la montre, Eric Coudray, ancien horloger de Jaeger-LeCoultre devenu célèbre pour avoir fait tourner le tourbillon biaxial sphérique du Gyrotourbillon, rejoint le projet. Les premiers exemples seraient apparus en 2008 avec un prix fixé autour de 200.000 CHF. "Esthétisme d'exception, mécanique incomparable" ou encore "une personnalité affirmée et un mouvement d'une rare ingéniosité" revenaient souvent dans la presse spécialisée lors de la présentation de la montre. Le mouvement vertical à force constante obtenu grâce un système de fusée et chaîne garantirait une chronométrie excessivement précise compensant les effets perturbateurs de la gravité terrestre sur la précision horlogère, le tout abrité par une boîte au design résolument novateur.
