Lot 1 - 1 bottle Petrus 1976. Grand Vin, Pomerol, Bordeaux, France. Red wine. 75 cl. See images to check the condition of the label and bottle. Petrus is a red wine from the Pomerol wine region, Bordeaux, made from a selection of merlot and cabernet franc. Considered by great critics and winemakers the best wine in the world. The 11.4 hectares of Petrus vineyards are located on a plateau in the eastern part of Pomerol, and produce 95% merlot and 5% cabernet franc. The estate was the first in Bordeaux to green harvest to reduce yields and increase the quality of the remaining grapes, in some years even eliminating 50% of the crop. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand over a period of two to three days and fermented in cement vats at controlled temperatures. The young wine is aged in new French oak barrels for twenty months. A severe selection is carried out prior to blending in vats, and some lots are rejected for the Grand Vin. **The images in each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloging. Lot 3 - 1 bottle Château Cheval Blanc, 1947, Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux (France). Red wine. 75 cl. See images to check the condition of the label and bottle. The 1947 vintage of Château Cheval is one of the Bordeaux best valued by collectors and wine lovers. The interest in this vintage is largely due to the weather conditions of 1947. The summer heat and September rains favored an excellent ripening of the grapes. The Château Cheval Blanc winery is located in Saint-Émilion, in the Bordeaux wine region. Its wine is one of only two to receive the highest ranking, Premier Grand Cru Classé (A), in the 1955 Saint Emilion Wine Classification, along with Château Ausone. The origin of the winery dates back to 1832, when Château Figeac sold 15 hectares of land to Mr. Laussac-Fourcaud. A few years later its wines would achieve international renown when they were awarded medals at the Universal Exhibitions of London and Paris in 1862 and 1867, medals still highlighted on their labels. The vineyard is considered to have three main qualities: one third Pomerol, as it is located on the border; one third Graves as the soil is gravelly; and the remaining third typical of Saint Emilion. The vineyard area covers 41 hectares, with 37 of them planted with an unusual composition of grape varieties: 57% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot and small parcels of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. Average annual production is 6,000 cases of the Grand Vin, and 2,500 cases of the second wine, Le Petit Cheval. **The images in each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloging. Lot 5 - 1 bottle Liqueur Chartreuses 1878-1903 Fourvoirie , France. 75 cl. French liqueur. Sealed bottle. Approx. 10% liquid loss. See pictures to check the condition of the label. The origins of Chartreuse are obscure. In 1605, Marshal d'Estrées gave the monks of the Carthusian monastery of Vauvert in Paris a manuscript containing the formula for a herbal elixir. In 1764, this formula of 130 plants was refined and fixed by Brother Jérôme Maubec, who made it the herbal elixir of the Grande-Chartreuse, the monastery where the Chartreuse was produced until 1864. After a difficult end of the century marked by a French Revolution badly disposed towards religious people, the green and yellow Chartreuses were created in 1840 and enjoyed a rapid success. In 1903, the Chartreux were expelled from France and took refuge in Spain, in Tarragona, to produce Chartreuse despite the resale of the brand to a group of liqueurs. They recovered it in 1929 and returned to production in France, although the Tarragona distillery continued its activities until 1989. Today, Chartreuse Diffusion ensures the production, now in the Aigueneoire distillery -after Fourvoirie and Voiron-, and the distribution of the different Chartreuse: the green, the yellow, the vegetable elixir and the VEP, to mention only the best known. Old versions and limited editions delight lovers and collectors of the so-called "Queen of liqueurs". **The images of each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloguing. Lot 6 - 1 bottle of Vega Sicilia "Unico" 1962 Gran Reserva. Ribera del Duero. Spain. Red wine. Nº 10206/87600. 75 cl. Parker Points: 99/100. The 1962 vintage is one of Vega Sicilia's three best vintages, which is why many expert winemakers have awarded it 100 points. See images to check the condition of the label. The "Unico" is the Vega Sicilia reference. A wine in which the qualities of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon are perfectly blended in different proportions. Each of them contributes, in each vintage, a differentiating element that makes it great. After its time in wood, it ages in the bottle to complete a complex and long aging process. Under normal conditions it will spend 6 years in wood and three in the bottle. The different elements involved in its production are shaped and molded in search of the master line that has guided the wine. The "Único" remains faithful to a clear and well-defined style, an inimitable character and style; elegance, firmness and an aging capacity only within the reach of a few wines in the world. Lot 7 - 1 bottle of Flor de Pingus 2006 from Dominio de Pingus Winery. Valladolid, Ribera del Duero, Spain. Red wine. 75 cl. See images to check the condition of the label and bottle. Made from 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grapes. It is a harmonious, intense, fresh and elegant red wine that has already caused a great stir in the winemaking world, becoming one of the great wines of the Ribera del Duero appellation and one of the most sought after. Flor de Pingus is considered the little brother of the mythical Pingus. Dominio de Pingus is a small winery located thirty kilometers from Roa, in the province of Burgos. The most sought-after wines in Spain, and possibly the whole world, are produced there. Its small production makes it one of the rarest and most exclusive wines in Spain. Its owner and creator is Peter Sisseck, an agronomist and oenologist born in 1962 in Copenhagen and settled in Spain since 1990. In 1995 he created his winery following an artisanal concept, with a few rows of new barrels, a rudimentary press, some wooden vats and steel tanks. However, the artisanal winemaking and low production allowed him to strive for the high quality of the final product. The secret of these wines lies in the old Tinto Fino vines grown on only five hectares, in a very controlled selection. Destemming is done manually, with patience, destemming the ripest grapes from each cluster. Subsequent fermentation is completely natural, which maintains better pigmentation and allows the wine to retain its aroma and fruity flavor. The maceration and fermentation process lasts about twenty days, and then the wine is transferred to barrels for malolactic fermentation. The wine is then left to settle for twenty to twenty-three months without racking, until one month before bottling, when the lees are removed so that the wine is completely clean. The wine is neither filtered nor clarified, in order to respect its natural qualities as much as possible. **The images of each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloguing. Lot 14 - 1 bottle of Vega Sicilia "Único" 1921. Ribera del Duero, Spain. Red wine. 75 cl. Good color. See images to check the condition of the label and bottle. El Único is Vega Sicilia's reference wine, although it shares with the rest of the winery's wines its special sparkle. It comes from the oldest vines of the property and in its composition, in addition to Tempranillo, there is more Cabernet Sauvignon than Merlot. Although it is old, the red maintains a liveliness provided by its good acidity, compensated by a resounding alcohol content. It has an intense ripe cherry color, with the lively edge of a wine that is always in fullness. The aroma is dominated by the toasted touches of the wood, with the hazelnut notes of its oxidative evolution during its years in barrels. It has ample flavors of aged but clean wood, with dry and pleasantly bitter tannins from the oak, along with a touch of light sweetness from its alcohol. It is a very long flavored wine, with race. This winery has won the following awards: Gold Medal and Grand Diploma of Honor at the 1927 Madrid Christmas Fair and the 1927 Barcelona Hotel Exhibition, and the Grand Prize of Honor at the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition. **The images in each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloging. Lot 34 - 1 bottle of Vega Sicilia "Único" 1948. Ribera del Duero, Spain. Red wine. 75 cl. Bottle n. 15419/17360. Lot 53 - 1 bottle of Pinia de Vega Sicilia Magnum, 2002. Toro. Spain. Red wine. 1,5 L. In its original wooden box. Opened for inspection. Level A. See images to check the condition of the label. Provenance: Private collection. The current owner acquired it directly from Vega Sicilia at the time it was marketed. Stored in private cellar with controlled temperature and humidity. Pintia is the Toro winery of the Álvarez family, owners of Vega Sicilia, in which they only make one wine, Pintia, with which they have managed to become a reference of quality and elegance in the Toro area. Its proximity to the Duero River results in a complex clay soil. The vineyard is divided into several plots established in an area of 96 hectares, at an altitude of 700 metres. The soils are covered with sand which facilitates water infiltration. Some plots are planted on quite deep soils with very rocky surfaces. The continental climate is extreme, with hot, arid summers followed by very cold winters. These conditions favour an exceptional state of health of the grapes and a great taste quality of the berries. Magnum formats are highly appreciated by wine connoisseurs, collectors and wine lovers. They are formats that are quite rare as wineries apply strict criteria when bottling in larger sizes due to increased costs. Therefore, magnums or larger sizes are much more difficult to find. In addition, one of the factors that make them more sought after is their greater ageing capacity, since, in larger bottles, the proportion of wine exposed to the air in the bottle is greater and therefore ageing is slower, giving the wine a longer, more complete and complex evolution. Thus, a Magnum will always achieve a higher auction price than two 75 cl. bottles.** **The images in each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloging. Peter Moser awarded the highest score, the coveted 100 points, to four vintages of Castillo Ygay: 1925, 1934, 1986 and 2010. Something unique that positions this wine as the Best Gran Reserva in the World and one of the best wines in history. Achieving 100 points in the 1925 and 2010 vintages, currently on sale, indicates that excellence in winemaking is something historical in Marqués de Murrieta and is more alive than ever. The first winery in Rioja lives up to its nomination as Best Winery in the World a few years ago, demonstrating that the highest quality can only be achieved with effort and passion. It repeats in 2020 the feat of achieving the highest score from international critics, positioning a Spanish wine as a benchmark of quality worldwide. Marqués de Murrieta is one of the Spanish wineries with the longest history. Its origins date back to 1852 when Luciano de Murrieta began trading his wines in the New World. Today, 150 years later, the impressive Ygay estate, with its more than 300 hectares, seems insensitive to the passage of time; but this is not so: the last 20 years have meant a revival in this centenary firm that has returned it to the forefront of attention in Spain and the rest of the world. Murrieta wines come from the 200 hectares of vineyards of the Ygay estate, located at the gates of Logroño, where the winery is also located. In addition to the essential Tempranillo, there are significant quantities of Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha Blanca vines on the estate. **The images in each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloging. Imperial is one of the great wines of Spain, a classic Rioja wine born in the 1920s. Imperial is only made when exceptional vintages are produced in the Rioja Alta. The CVNE winery (Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España) originated in 1879 and still maintains its original site, the Barrio de la Estación winery in Haro, in the Rioja Alta. At CVNE, the winemaking process is still cared for with the same dedication and commitment as in the early years of the company. And care is taken from the beginning, from the time the grapes are on the vine until the wine rests in the bottle. CVNE was one of the first wineries in La Rioja to bottle, and already in 1900 it had an extraordinary ageing capacity of 80,000 bottles, something unusual at a time when it was normal to dispatch the wine as soon as possible. Today, for CVNE, bottling continues to be a process to be pampered. **The images in each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloging. The Sociedad Vinícola de La Rioja Alta was founded in 1890 in the Barrio de la Estación in Haro. In these early years, the Frenchman Vigier was hired to take charge of the technical management, and soon the winemaking process that we now call classic was mastered. In 1891, the company was renamed La Rioja Alta. Today the company continues to defend the initial idea of its foundation, jealously preserving the creative and enterprising spirit of its founders. It maintains a great respect for its history and philosophy, something that can be seen not only in the way it makes wine, but also in its brands, its close relationship with the city of Haro and its permanent dynamism. **The images in each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloging.
