Giorgio Luca Spinola (and testament in favor of his brother Ridolfo) given in Vienna on February 12, 1773. 114] pp. manuscript (57 ff.) in brown ink on parchment, beautiful header carefully calligraphed in black ink, signed in fine by Emperor Joseph II, Hieronymus von Colloredo-Mannsfeld (1732-1812, prince-archbishop of Salzburg between 1772 and 1803, employer of Mozart among others), and imperial councillor Paul Anton von Gundel, collated and registered by R. de Manner. Bound in contemporary velvet boards. Binding very worn and missing. Leaves held together by a string. The Spinola family was one of the four most important feudal nobility families in the Republic of Genoa, along with the Grimaldis, Doria and Fieschi. The family is divided into various branches, many of whose members own imperial fiefs. After the reform of 1528, the Spinolas were, on a par with the Grimaldis, the family that gave the most doges for two years (11).
