[Manuscrit] Collection of comedies. Ca.1685, In-8, [5]-[1bl]-170-244p. The work contains, in uniform, almost unerased handwriting: Dialogue sur la Paix (p.1 to 36). Appears to be unpublished. Le Temple de la Paix ou Les Triomphes Immortels de Louis Le Grand, comédie héroïque (p.37 to 130). Appears to be unpublished, but probably the text of the ballet premiered on October 20, 1685, written by Philippe Quinault. Second dialoge (p.131 to 159). Appears to be unpublished. Compliment to "Monseigneur de Meaux", i.e. Bossuet (p.161 to 163). Appears to be unpublished. Prologue (p.165 to 170). Appears to be unpublished. Agatarque ou La rare Métamorphose, comedy (p.1 to 227). By another hand, an "ode XVI libri II" is found on p.229 to 244, and another "ode XXIX livre III" is found in the unnumbered panes at the beginning. These appear to be two (unpublished?) translations of Horace's ode. Full black morocco à la Duseuil, binding partly disbound, quires staggered but together solid. Gilt and marbled edges. Rare manuscript of 17th-century plays.
