(sign. ã8, A-Zz8, Aaa-NNn8, OOo4 ; A-D8, E4, a-o8, p4, q8, r4). Contemporary vellum, smooth spine, smooth edges. Arms of France and Navarre woodcut on titles. The Discours funèbre de Pierre FENOILLET has its own title page, not mentioned in the table, placed at the head of the volume. In addition to this piece by Pierre Fenoillet, bishop of Montpellier and friend of François de Sales, these two works (in one volume) contain 37 speeches, orations, sonnets and stanzas in French, Latin, Italian and Spanish; these pieces were collected and published under the authority of the Lyonnais poet and chaplain to the king, Guillaume Du Peyrat, who had made a name for himself with his Essais poétiques, published in Tours in 1593. A very fine copy with a handwritten bookplate of the Clairvaux novitiate on the title and, in the same hand, a number of corrections in the table. Complete with both parts, which is rare: 2 complete copies of both parts listed in the CCfr. (Brunet, II-890.)
