First edition, published by Auguste Wahlen, pseudonym of Jean-François Loumyer, and illustrated with 4 titles with a colored vignette, and 210 wood-engraved, colored and gummed plates. Asia: [2] ff, 591-[1] pp, title vignette and 82 plates (the table of plates indicates 79 plates). Minor foxing. Small tear in margin of one plate. Oceania: [2] ff, 368 pp, title vignette and 36 plates (table of plates lists 34 plates). Slight scattered foxing or spotting, one plate spotted, very small hole on one plate not affecting the subject. Europe: [2] ff. 361 pp. with title vignette and 49 plates (no table of plates for this volume). Some foxing. Africa - America: [2] pages, 365 pp. title vignette and 43 plates (no table of plates for this volume). Light scattered foxing or spotting, one plate spotted. A fine copy.
