Headbands trimmed, upper spine completely split, corners and spine ends damaged. This manuscript documents the second part of a tour of Italy, which took place from October 19, 1768 to May 26, 1769 (details on request).

Paris, Veuve Desaint, 1786. 9 volumes in-12, marbled basane, ribbed spine decorated with gilded fillets, p. de titre et de tomaison (contemporary binding) and an atlas in-4 in contemporary marbled boards. The best and most complete second edition of this voyage to Italy by the famous astronomer Joseph Jérôme Lefrançois de Lalande (1732-1807), complete with his rare atlas (which was sold separately) containing 36 plates, plans and maps (ch. 1-35, including 21 bis). Defects to the bindings of the text volumes (qqs torn off headpieces, qqs gnawing, spotting and rubbing). Worm gallery in the corner of the leaves of the last text volume. The atlas is sparsely browned (small russet spot on plate 14).
