Paper on canvas, size 2.14x2.93m, with 2 wooden rods attached to the top and bottom margins to give it hold and allow it to be rolled up. Spectacular document illustrated with painted coats of arms, including a genealogical pennon and family tree of the Larcher family, accompanied by family trees of the main allied families, Barillon, Gilbert de Voisins, Mangot, Mérault, Phélypeaux. The future Marquis d'Arcy Pierre Larcher (1687-1724), who commissioned this document, belonged to a prominent Parisian robe family: he was a councillor at the Châtelet (1709), grand-bailli d'épée de Vermandois (1710), councillor at the Parlement de Paris (1712), and president of the Chambre des Comptes (1715). He acquired the d'Arcy estate in 1719 and took over the title of marquis attached to it.
