Tan granite calf, spine ribbed and decorated, red title page, spotted red (period binding). Minor restorations to headpieces and corners. This compendium of the names, titles and coats of arms of the Presidents of the Parlement de Paris from the 14th to the 17th century appears to be one of Chevillard's creations, which were circulated in manuscript, without ever being printed, judging from the copies preserved in public repositories; the latter ended in 1693, unlike this one, which ended in 1695.

Tan granulated basane, ornate spine, red speckled boards (period binding). Minor restorations to upper headpiece and corners. Second edition (the first is from 1691). Very rarely found, this work is nevertheless of prime interest, covering all the dioceses of France, including the bishopric of Blois, created in the same year, 1693.

In-8, [4] ff. cxlii-87 pp. with copper-engraved and hand-colored coats of arms in the text, and 6 plates hors texte (the Nicolaÿ arms as frontispiece to both parts, in black for the first, watercolored for the second; a decorative motif; the arms of France and two plates of heraldic pedagogy in the Avertissement), lacking the privilege. Marbled fawn basane, ornate smooth spine, red title page, red pages (period binding). Headband and corners restored. First edition. A very good copy.

CHEVILLARD (Jacques). MANUSCRITTED MURAL PANEL entitled "Généalogie de la Maison de Larcher et ses alliances". November 1716. Paper on canvas, size 2.14x2.93m, with 2 wooden rods attached to the top and bottom margins to give it hold and allow it to be rolled up. Spectacular document illustrated with painted coats of arms, including a genealogical pennon and family tree of the Larcher family, accompanied by family trees of the main allied families, Barillon, Gilbert de Voisins, Mangot, Mérault, Phélypeaux. Also included are members of illustrious families such as the LaRochefoucaulds and Colberts. Historiographer of France and genealogist to the King, Jacques Chevillard was also a draughtsman, engraver, publisher and print merchant. He published a large number of armorials, nobiliaries and all kinds of documents, notably on the personnel of royal and ecclesiastical institutions, and on the provinces and towns of France, often in association with his son Jacques-Louis Chevillard. The future Marquis d'Arcy Pierre Larcher (1687-1724), who commissioned this document, belonged to a prominent Parisian robe family: he was a councillor at the Châtelet (1709), grand-bailli d'épée de Vermandois (1710), councillor at the Parlement de Paris (1712), and president of the Chambre des Comptes (1715). He acquired the d'Arcy estate in 1719 and took over the title of marquis attached to it.

In-12 marbled calf, spine ribbed and decorated, title and tomaison gilt, arms gilt in the center of the boards (period binding). Upper headband worn, corners slightly worn. With the coat of arms of François-Jacques-Maxime de CHASTENET DE PUYSEGUR (1716-1782), son of Jacques-François de Chastenet de Puységur, Marshal of France and Jeanne de Fourcy de Chessy, Marquis de Puységur, Viscount of Buzancy and Aconin, Grand Cross of the Royal and Military Order of Saint-Louis, Lieutenant-General of the King's armies and close associate of Marshal de Saxe, whom he replaced on several occasions. He distinguished himself in 1745 at the Battle of Fontenoy (famous for the phrase attributed to the Comte d'Anterroches, "Messieurs les Anglais, tirez les premiers"). He married Marie-Marguerite Masson, daughter of Gaspard Masson, chevalier, first president of the Paris parliament, and Marguerite Chevalier, who died in 1760. He published his father's Art de la Guerre, and wrote a number of political and social pamphlets himself, most of which appeared without author's names.
