Very interesting active correspondence from Parades, head of the navy administration and colonial sub-prefect of the Artibonite department, during the last phase of the ill-fated Saint-Domingue Expedition, which was to culminate in the reembarkation of French troops. I. From July 25, 1803, addressed to Admiral John Thomas Duckworth (1747-1817), Commander-in-Chief of the British naval forces, on the supply needs of the city of Port-au-Prince under English blockade. II. From 4 fructidor an XI [22 August 1803] to the General-in-Chief [Donatien-Marie-Joseph de Rochambeau, 1755-1813], on a private dispute involving Vice-Admiral Louis-René-Madeleine de Latouche-Tréville (1745-1804). III. From 5 fructidor year XI [23 August 1803], to the colonial prefect, on various maritime breaches. IV. -V. From 5 fructidor year XI, to Louis Taupin de Magnytot (1757-1823, former prefect of La Manche, then colonial prefect of Tobago, colonial prefect of Saint-Domingue from June 14 to November 14, 1803), on the question of food supplies.
