Amadeus". Inscribed in the printing plate: "Hans Retters Buch". Date: c. 1920 Description: The artwork presents an allegorical scene, with a classically inspired vessel in the centre, supported by three figures. A fourth figure sits on top, exposed, with artfully draped cloths, her pose thoughtful. An inscription adorns the base of the vessel. The style of the drawing is reminiscent of traditional techniques, the depiction is richly detailed with fine lines. The background remains uniform and emphasises the motif.
