Illustrated with numerous vignettes engraved in the text and 37 plates designed by the author and engraved in bistre and sepia by Himely from daguerreotypes by Pierre Gustave de Lotbinière; panorama of Cairo in three leaves, portrait of Méhemet Ali, views of Alexandria, Thebes, Luxor, the island of Philæ or the Temple of Ibsamboul. A good copy. Some foxing, worn covers and corners.
