Artist info: important German artist (1945 Bleckede - 2007 Düsseldorf), in the 1960s studied at the Düsseldorf art academy, specialising in stage design and from 1964 studied under Joseph Beuys, 1969 expelled from the academy, 1968-81 worked as an art teacher, 1972 participated in documenta 5 in Kassel, 1976 participated in the Venice Biennale, friendship with A.R. Penck, 1982 participation in documenta 7, 1989 professorship at the Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste - Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main, from 1996 professorship at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf, created the portrait of Gerhard Schröder for the Kanzlergalerie, fell ill with ALS in 1997, source: Wikipedia.

Artist info: actually Dieter Roth. Karl-Dietrich Roth, Swiss graphic artist, action and object artist (1930 Hanover - 1998 Basel), 1947-1951 apprenticeship with the graphic artist Friedrich Wüthrich, 1955 designer for textile patterns, in the 1960s participation in various happenings and Fluxus events, became known for his objects designed from food, in the USA teaching position at Yale University near New York, participation in documenta 4, 6 and posthumously 11, 1982 design of the Swiss pavilion at the Venice Biennale, source: Wikipedia.
