The parables are reproduced here in English, French, German and Italian. - Very well preserved and clean copy. Orig. paperback (minimally browned in margins, upper right corner somewhat bumped). - First and only edition of the first artist's book in the form of a calendar with punched hole to be used as a hanging device. The work consists of 10 b/w illustrations after photographs with 10 facing text sheets containing parables that Baldessari had written since 1967. The parables here reproduced in English, French, German and Italian. - Very well preserved and clean copy. This work is taxed. Civil Rights: John Lewis Signed Photograph American politician and civil rights leader (1940-2020) who as Chairman of the SNCC was one of the 'Big Six' leaders who organized the 1963 March on Washington, and who led the famed march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge from Selma to Montgomery (now known as 'Bloody Sunday'), which sped up the passage of 1965’s Voting Rights Act. Color satin-finish 10 x 8 photo of John Lewis with fellow March on Washington leaders meeting with President John F. Kennedy at the White House, signed in blue felt tip by Lewis. In very fine condition.
