Artist information: Heinrich Thein (1888 - 1969) is considered one of the most expressive German small sculptors of the 20th century, who was artistic director of the Sächsische Ofen- und Wandplatten-Werke in Meissen from 1925. Between 1945 and 1947, he was head of the design department at the Meissen State Porcelain Manufactory. After his employment, Heinrich Thein also worked successfully as a freelance artist.
