Exceptional, important and fine silk Ghoum RUG, Iran. Silk velvet on silk foundations. Ivory field decorated with scrolls of fine stems and fine branches of a thousand stylized flowers in the form of popped diamonds, framing a central polychrome floral medallion with a multicolored floral crown in the form of a stylized pendant. Four finely drawn floral bulb spandrels. Seven borders, the main one in midnight blue, decorated in the same way as the central medallion. Circa 1965, Shah period. Size: 400 x 300 cm. (Fine finish, good overall condition)
